Bhalki Fort
Bhalki, located just a short drive from Bidar, draws tourists with its charming historical appeal. At its core lies Bhalki Fort – an architectural masterpiece created from black stone from this region’s quarries – an architectural wonder which traces back five acres and rises up seven metres in height. Once used by Maratha soldiers as armoury storage during British colonial rule, its possession later passed to Nizam of Hyderabad who used it during British occupation of Hyderabad; as you step foot onto its ancient grounds you are ready for an enriching journey back through time!
